Netjernacht between his mother and wife, grave BH23 in Beni Hasan

Netjernacht was an ancient Egyptian official of the 12th Dynasty. He had different titles. The most important are the mayors and heads of the Eastern Desert . Netjernacht is known from his grave in Beni Hasan (BH 23). Here his mother Arythotep and his wife Herib are called. His father does not appear there and remains unknown. Only one wall of the burial chapel is better preserved and shows Netjernacht with various women. An inscription reports that the tomb of Chnumhotep II was built. Netjernacht was obviously an ancestor of Chnumhotep II, but the exact relationship is uncertain. The father of Chnumhotep II had a different name.
