Nettavisen is a Norwegian online newspaper that was launched in 1996. The editor is Gunnar Stavrum. In April 2018, the site had Alexa rank 28 in Norway.
history
Nettavisen was founded on November 1st, 1996 by Odd Harald Hauge, Stig Eide Sivertsen and Knut Ivar Skeid. In autumn 1999 the Scandinavian Internet portal Spray Network , which was taken over by Lycos Europe a year later , acquired the net travel costs for 180 million NOK . In 2000 the founders of Nettavisen helped to publish the German sister website Netzeitung (now defunct) .
The TV 2 groups bought the Nettavisen in 2003 and named the site TV 2 Nettavisen , which in 2006 was shortened to the name Nettavisen . TV 2 sold the company to its own owners in 2009 and the media house Nettavisen has since been owned by the Amedia and Egmont Foundation .
