Federal networks

Federal Networks ( NdB for short ) refers to the highly available network infrastructure that is used by federal authorities in Germany for secure data exchange. As part of the "Federal Networks" project of the same name, the Berlin-Bonn Information Network (IVBB) and the Federal Administration Information Network (IVBV) were migrated to the federal networks. Since January 1, 2019, the Federal Agency for Digital Radio of Authorities and Organizations with Security Tasks (BDBOS) has been responsible for the operation of the NdB. Together with the IT services of the affiliated authorities at federal, state and local level, the federal networks are to be used in the futureForm the information network of public administration (IVÖV) for citizens, companies and international partners.
