New Buchholz (Blankenhagen)

Neu Buchholz is a former residential area in Western Pomerania , which belonged to the municipality of Blankenhagen . The desert is now in the area of ​​the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland .

Around 1870 the place, then called Buchholz, formed a settlement ("Colonie") in the manor district of the Blankenhagen manor. Buchholz was south of the estate, west of the Dolgen lake . At that time there were 21 houses in which 119 people lived in 28 households. The livestock was 1 horse, 33 cows and 52 sheep.

Before 1945, under the name Neu Buchholz, the place was a residential area in the rural community of Blankenhagen in the Regenwalde district of the Pomerania province .

In 1945, Neu Buchholz, like all of Western Pomerania, came to Poland . Today the place is desolate . The desert is in the area of Gmina Węgorzyno (urban and rural municipality Wangerin) in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship .
