The building of the New Apostolic Church in Halle is located on Pfälzer Straße in the northern city center of Halle (Saale) . The parish of Halle belongs within the New Apostolic Church of Central Germany to the church district of Leipzig.

history

A New Apostolic congregation was founded in Halle (Saale) as early as 1896. In mid-1897, the community moved into a rental room at Grosse Brauhausstrasse 30. Between 1899 and 1900, an existing building in the immediate vicinity of today's church was converted into a church and consecrated on February 15, 1900. With the construction of the new church, the building was demolished in 2001 due to construction defects.

Building

The foundation stone for today's church building was laid on March 6, 2001; it was consecrated on December 9, 2001. It is an elongated building that extends deep into the property. The entrance to the church building is on the side of the property facing away from the street. The church hall with a polygonal floor plan forms the main part of the complex. An essential element of the facade structure are vertically aligned ribbon windows, the height of which varies with that of the roof and thus appears to be staggered. The surrounding buildings are essentially shaped by the Wilhelminian era and designed as perimeter blocks. The Church does not take up this idea. Instead, the building stands detached from the surrounding buildings on the property.
