A hymn book for use in the New Apostolic Church in German-speaking countries was published in 1910 and 1925 under the title New Apostolic Hymnal . The edition from 1925 was in use until Easter 2005 and was replaced by the new hymn book of the New Apostolic Church .

The New Apostolic Hymnal from 1910

The New Apostolic Hymnbook (subtitle For use in all divine services in the New Apostolic congregations ), published in 1910, was the successor to the Apostolic Hymnal . It contains 645 songs and was published in both text and sheet music. The sheet music edition contains 55 additional pieces for mixed choir as well as 11 liturgical chants . In addition, it was accompanied by a song book with 50 choir pieces of various genres, which was intended as a song book "to take away".

While the Apostolic Hymnbook contained mainly Protestant chorals and revival songs, the 1910 edition increasingly included missionary and combative songs.

The New Apostolic Hymnal from 1925

The 1925 edition of the New Apostolic Hymnal (also subtitled for use in all divine services in the New Apostolic congregations ) replaced the 1910 edition. The New Apostolic Hymnal from 1925 contains 652 hymns, 396 of which are taken from the 1910 hymnbook. It forms the basis for numerous foreign language hymn books of the New Apostolic Church.

The hymn book from 1925 was replaced by the hymn book of the New Apostolic Church at Easter 2005 .
