Neue Film AG
The New Film AG was a Swiss film production company .
history
Neue Film was founded in 1957 by director Franz Schnyder . He sought his independence because the last two directing jobs were forced on him by Praesens-Film . His own film studio was set up in Burgdorf BE . In the chicory halls in Alchenflüh , which was demolished in 2010 , Schnyder set up the studios of his company Neue Film AG and made several of his well-known films there.
The film May 10 took a critical look at contemporary Swiss history, but was not in demand with the public. He brought a new version of the film to the cinema in 1976. Schnyder returned to the work of Jeremias Gotthelf and no fewer than four film adaptations were made. The cheese dairy in the vehicle joy and money and spirit were to box office hits . As he was not satisfied with the result of the two-part Anne Bäbi Jowäger , he cut the two parts together, which led to the 1962 theatrical version. Another abridged version came out in 1978. Die 6 Kummer-Buben was a failure in the cinema , but was extremely successful as a television series in Switzerland and the USA. The last two film productions were shot in color. Further film projects did not go beyond the planning.
