New instead of party

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The new Statt party was a short-lived party in Lower Saxony that only ran for the 1994 state election.

The party was founded in Hanover in October 1993 under the name Statt Party by Andreas Dimpfel , former youth representative and press spokesman for the Republicans . The actual Statt Party applied for an injunction against Dimpfel's party against the use of the name. Nevertheless, Dimpfel, like the original Statt party, submitted a nomination for the Lower Saxony state election. The state election committee allowed both parties. In order to distinguish between the parties, the state election committee stipulated that Dimpfel's party would appear on the ballot paper under the name Die neue Statt Party .

In the election, the Statt Party received 1.31% of the second vote, the new Statt Party 0.46%.
