The Neuenhauser group of companies is a German multidisciplinary group in mechanical engineering and metal processing. The core company Neuenhauser Maschinenbau GmbH is named after the company's location in Neuenhaus , Germany, in Lower Saxony .

The group of companies employs around 2,800 people in more than 20 companies at various locations, with a focus on Germany. A good 750 people are employed at the largest location in Neuenhaus.

history

The company was founded in 1954 by Hans Voshaar (1921–1996) under the name "Hans Voshaar Bauschlosserei" in a garage. The company's first business areas were locksmithing , repairs and supplies for the textile industry . Over the years, the small company has developed and firmly established in the region. Since 1972, the head office has been located in Hans-Voshaar-Straße, which has now been named after the founder, formerly Ladestraße. In 1986 the founder's son, Bernd Voshaar, joined his parents' company and, in addition to organic growth, also promoted growth through investments and acquisitions.

The Neuenhauser group of companies provides training in various professions, including cutting machine operators , industrial mechanics , warehouse logistics specialists , but also industrial clerks and IT professions. In the field of training, the Neuenhauser Group cooperates with the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, among others . Students can write their thesis for the Neuenhauser group of companies as part of their bachelor's or master's degree .

expansion

With the takeover of the compressor production from Meyer Werft in 1986 and the establishment of Neuenhauser Kompressorenbau GmbH in 1986, a successful expansion policy was initiated that has turned the small mechanical engineering company into a global group of companies.
