The New Pond , also known as Oberteich , is a listed pond in Ballenstedt in Saxony-Anhalt .
The artificial pond is located on the southern outskirts of Ballenstedt, north of the street Am Kaufberg . The Getel stream runs on its west side . The Selketalstieg leads along immediately south of the pond . There is a small island in the pond.
The new pond was created in the course of the installation of the local water regulation in Ballenstedt. It is now part of the park-like environment.
In the local register of monuments , the artificial pond is listed as a monument under registration number 094 50200 .
