New Trierian Yearbook

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The New Trier Yearbook is a periodical published since 1961 on the history, art and culture of the Electorate and City of Trier . It is published by the “Trierisch eV” association. Its predecessors were "Trier und das Reich" (1939) and "Trierisches Jahrbuch" (1950 to 1960). In 1961 there was a split. Since then, the Trier City Library, in cooperation with the Society for Useful Research in Trier, has published the scientifically oriented Kurtrierischer Jahrbuch , while the Heimatverein has more to do with customs, dialect and current affairs with the “New Trier Yearbook”.

Members of the editorial team include Lukas Clemens , Stephan Laux , Andreas Tacke , Norbert Franz and Michael Embach . From 1965 to 1989, Claus Zander was editor, currently Udo Fleck is the editor.
