history

Trautmannsdorffer and Gradenegger farm and later noble estate

Originally the farm was probably a simple farm. In the 16th century it was owned by the von Trauttmansdorff family who expanded it into a small noble seat. In 1561 Joachim von Trauttmansdorff sold the estate to the agricultural secretary Gotthardt Schober. In 1567 the farm came into the possession of Franz Freiherr von Gradeneckh ( Gradenegg ), who expanded it further and, moreover, probably released it from the duties of subordination.

Steinpeisser, Grienberger and other owners

In 1625 it passed to Siegmund Stainpeiß (also Stainpeiss, Steinpeiss ) zu Aichberg from the Austrian noble family of Steinpeissers with ancestral seat in Aichberg near Rohrbach an der Lafnitz . He had to leave Styria due to his Protestant faith and sold the property to Hans Christof Grienberger in 1629.

Augustiner and Jacomini

Grienberger was followed by a few other owners before the farm passed to the Augustinians at the staircase church in 1665 . When this monastery disbanded in 1784, took Kaspar Andreas von Jacomini the yard and left, including a new Neuhof today Jakominiplatz build.

Alois von Trautmannsdorf with Liebenau and Josef Schuch

Alois Graf Trauttmansdorff acquired the estate in 1817 and connected it to the Liebenau rulership . The Neuhof became the property of Josef Schuch in 1833, who had the property parceled out for building purposes .
