The Neutor Galerie is a shopping center in downtown Dinslaken , which opened on November 6, 2014. The cost was around 120 million euros.
It was built in the eastern part of Dinslaken city center with around 16,000 m² of retail space. The property includes the area of the former Hertie department store and the entire area of Hans-Böckler-Platz. It was built by a consortium consisting of the Dinslaken construction company Walter Hellmich GmbH and the Duisburg-based Multi Development GmbH.

history
A cattle market had been located on Neutorplatz since 1884 and existed in Dinslaken for many years. For reasons of hygiene, the city had to build a permanent building. It fulfilled this requirement on Hünxer Straße, where Pintsch Bamag has been located since 1947 . The drop in the number of animals traded there could not be prevented and the Dinslaken cattle market lost its importance, not least because the Jewish cattle dealers and their families from all over Germany and from Dinslaken were expelled, deported and killed. The Hertie department store was built in the post-war period .
Construction of the new center started in 2012. The project development took place in close coordination with the plans for the public space in the immediate vicinity, such as the redesign of Neutorplatz and Saarstrasse, as well as the Rutenwall.
