Never Forget (Also known as Never Forget You ) is a pop - rock song by the Russian singer-songwriter Jelena Katina . The title, published on August 4, 2011, is Katina's first solo single, who had previously formed the pop duo t.ATu together with Julija Wolkowa . The song Stay is also included as the B-side .

Music video

The music video for Never Forget was featured on Perez Hilton's blog on August 3rd . It shows Katina, dressed in a wide dress, in a morgue . While the song begins, Katina gets up and goes into a hall in which two coffins are laid out . On one of the coffins is a picture of her former singing partner Julija Wolkowa. In reference to the duo's greatest success, All the Things She Said , Katina kisses the picture. The video ends on the cemetery grounds; after Katina visits her own grave and Volkova's grave, she goes to a car and is driven away. The music video can be interpreted as a detachment from Katina's past as a tATu singer.

success

While the song was rarely played on Russian radio, it achieved good broadcast ratings on Russian music television. On December 27th, the song was number one on the MTV Russia video charts, and on December 31st, it was also named Music Video of the Year 2011 by MTV Russia.

Remix versions

On March 12, 2012, a remix version of the title produced by Dave Audé appeared as a music download; a physical CD single followed on May 21. Audé had already produced several remixes for tATu in the years before. Katina sang the song again to create the remix. This remix reached number one on the US Billboard Dance / Club Charts and lasted a total of ten weeks. No other Russian solo artist had achieved the top position in the dance / club charts before.

In addition, an EP called Never Forget - The Remixes was released on August 31, 2012 on the Redlight Media label .
