New Century Global Center

The New Century Global Center (新 世纪 环球 中心, Pinyin: Xīnshìjì Huánqiú Zhōngxīn) is a multifunctional building in the Chinese sub-provincial city of Chengdu , capital of the Sichuan province .

It was opened in 2013 and, with a floor space of 1.76 million square meters, is the largest building in the world in terms of area . It has a height of 100 meters and a base area of ​​500 m × 400 m.

Interior

Around 400,000 m² of the floor space is allocated to a shopping center. The building also contains office buildings, conference rooms, a university, two five-star hotels and an IMAX cinema with 14 halls. In the middle of the building there is a water park called "Paradise Island Water Park". a. of a 5,000 m² beach and a 150 m × 40 m screen that shows sunrise and sunset. There is also a Mediterranean village with a Christian church, a pirate ship, a stage and an Olympic-sized ice rink in the building . There is a station on Line 1 of the Chengdu Subway in the building .
