Frameworx

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Frameworx is a standard, published by the TM Forum to accelerate the development and deployment of operational support systems (English Operations Support System -. OSS) to make it more flexible and easier by defining a common framework for business processes.

Frameworx relies on the development of a standard based on service-oriented architecture .

In order to achieve the goal of an easy-to-use OSS, Frameworx offers a collection of information that represents a uniform collection of tools for business processes and technical developments as well as a description of their use. This is intended to reduce costs and ensure customer satisfaction at the same time.

In different segments, different subgoals are applied, each with a different approach:

  • Automation of business processes with the enhanced Telecom Operations Map (eTOM)
  • Generic information and data model through the Shared Information & Data Model (SID)
  • Telecom Applications Map (TAM), a standardized model for grouping functions and data in business applications and services of a telecommunications company
  • Technology Neutral Architecture (TNA), a series of documents for integrating the frameworks by harmonizing the architecture. Includes TMForum interfaces.
  • Conformance testing through Frameworx compliance tests
  • Procurement & implementation in the ROI model

In May 2010, Frameworx was expanded by some concepts (see document TMF GB945-M) and renamed from New Generation Operations Systems and Software (NGOSS) to Frameworx.
