The New Journal of Physics (NJP) ( ISO 4 : . New J. Phys ) is an Open Access - Online publication on topics of physics . It is published jointly by the German Physical Society and the British Institute of Physics .

The NJP has existed since 1998 and publishes original research papers from all areas of physics. The authors pay for the publication, the articles are then freely accessible.
