Neyland is a small town in Pembrokeshire , Wales , on the Daugleddau River east of Milford Haven . The nearby Cleddau Bridge, which spans the river, connects Neyland to Pembroke Dock .

The importance of Neyland reached in 1856 when the place became the western terminus of the Great Western Railway of Isambard Kingdom Brunel . But when Fishguard became the new western terminus in 1964 , Neyland was economically worse until the end of the 1980s. The new marina and the recultivation of the freight yard helped to improve this situation.
