Ngerechong is an island in the southeast of the island republic of Palau in the Pacific Ocean .
geography
Like its southern neighbors Ngesual and Ngebad , the island is located on the top of the reef and forms the northeastern extension of the island of Peleliu . It is located near the border with the Palau state of Koror . Only the Denges Passage separates them from the Mecherchar Islands . The island has a triangular shape. The bottom side stretches along the edge of the reef from south to northeast, while the northwest tip of the triangle is long drawn out along the passage.
