The Mecherchar Islands are an island group of the West Pacific island republic of Palau . They belong to the archipelago of the Palau Islands and are 23 kilometers southwest of the island of Koror .
The group consists of around 70 densely forested islands , the largest of which is by far the main island of the same name, Mecherchar ( Eil Malk ). All of the islands are uninhabited.
