The Ngemelis Islands are an uninhabited group of islands in the West Pacific island republic of Palau . They are located in the southwest of the archipelago of the Chelbacheb Islands ( Rock Islands ) directly on Palau's outer reef .
There are about 20 small, uninhabited, flat and forested islands , the largest of which is Dmasech (0.33 km²), also called Ngemelis (Iceland).
They are 35 kilometers from Koror and are located in the so-called Blue Corner of Palau, a diving area popular with reef divers . The Ngemelis Islands are therefore often approached from diving centers on Koror, Peleliu or Ngercheu (Carp Island), which is only 3 km to the southeast.
