Ngemelis Islands |
Dmasech , also called Ngemelis (Ngemelis Island), is the main island of the Ngemelis Islands , a group of islands in the West Pacific island state of Palau in the Palau Islands archipelago . It is located 35 kilometers southeast of Koror , directly on the southeastern outer reef of Palau.
Dmasech is the largest of the Ngemelis Islands, densely forested and uninhabited. It is also the most south-westerly island of the Chelbacheb Islands , also known as the Rock Islands of Palau .
The island is often a destination for scuba divers , as the most famous Palauian diving areas (such as the Blue Holes ) are very close by .
