Ngobo Ngobo

Ngobo Ngobo was a German ska band.

It was founded in 1989 in Hemsbach and was part of the rock steady style of Ska. Their sound was characterized by a driving 2-tone ska and reggae beats.

Shortly after it was founded, Ngobo Ngobo won two music promotion awards. Her debut album Rude Fruit was released shortly afterwards. Several television appearances followed. With over 400 concerts in the metropolises of Europe, a few concerts in Africa and several appearances in Japan, the group was considered a fixture in the genre.

Band members were most recently Urs (guitar, vocals), Christian (vocals), Bine (keyboard, vocals), Nils (bass), Stefano (drums), Flo (saxophone) and Kai (trombone).

On December 13, 2014, the band announced their breakup.
