Animation lady
An animation lady (or animation girl ; also animation waitress at the end of the 19th century ) usually works in a night club . Their main task is to entertain the - mostly male - guests and encourage them to drink , whereby the drinks are considerably more expensive than in a normal restaurant .
Mostly they are freelance workers who, in addition to a guaranteed minimum income, participate proportionately in the beverage sales they generate and do not belong to the actual counter team. Your economic interest is therefore naturally in the fact that the guest generates the highest possible beverage sales with the least possible effort. Animators are to be distinguished from prostitutes , even if they may sometimes offer sexual services. Sometimes the differentiation is not made in common usage and the animator is equated with the prostitute.
According to a judgment of the Bavarian State Social Court on March 31, 2006, working as an animator in Germany for at least 15 hours a week does not entitle you to unemployment benefit , since an animator employed to this extent is no longer unemployed . In Austria it is, according to the case law of the Administrative Court in the activities as a nightclub hostess about an at least employee-like employment.
