Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân (born April 12, 1954 in Giong Trom District in Bến Tre Province , French Indochina ) is a Vietnamese teacher and politician . She is the President of the National Assembly of Vietnam and the first woman to hold this position. She was previously Vice President of the National Assembly, Minister of Labor and President of Hai Duong Province . She replaced Nguyen Sinh Hung as President of the National Assembly.
