Niāvarān

Niāvarān ( Persian نیاوران) is a district of the Shemiran district in northeast Tehran . It can be reached from Tajrish Square via Darband Street.

In addition to the Niavaran Palace and Niavaran Park, there are several embassies and the Iranian National Library in this district . There is also the Farhangsarā (House of Culture) with an amphitheater , a museum, a music hall, a café-gallery and a café with a covered exhibition hall.

Numerous Iranian artists also live here.

Located at the foot of the Elburs Mountains at an altitude of 1700 m, Niāvarān has a cooler climate compared to the rest of Tehran with excellent viewpoints. Several skyscrapers have been built here in recent years.
