Nial Ring (* in Ballybough , Dublin ) is an Irish independent politician and was the 349th Lord Mayor of Dublin from June 2018 to June 2019.

Life

Ring was born and raised as a fourth generation Dubliner in Ballybough, a district in the northeast of Dublin's Inner City. He graduated from Dublin City University . Then he worked in banking.

Ring was first time in 2009 for the constituency Inner North City in the Dublin City Council selected. In 2014 he was re-elected. On June 25, 2018, he was elected Lord Mayor of Dublin for one year , replacing Mícheál Mac Donncha .

Ring is married and has four sons.
