Nicholas Hamilton

Nicholas Hamilton (born May 4, 2000 in Lismore , New South Wales ) is an Australian actor .

Life

The actor, who lives in the Australian coastal town of Alstonville , in northern New South Wales , was born to Vicki Atkins and Craig Hamilton. Hamilton has been playing the drums since he was four.

Film career

According to his own admission, Hamilton might never have started acting if he hadn't been given a role in a play after the death of his uncle Ross. This was a great role model for him, and he wanted to continue what his uncle had done. Hamilton first attracted attention for his role in the 2013 short film Time , in which his mother Vicki Atkins also starred and for which he was recognized as best actor at the Tropfest short film festival. Hamilton made his feature film debut in the film Strangerland , where he played Tom, the film son of Nicole Kidman and Joseph Fiennes . In the film Captain Fantastic - once wilderness and back , which was presented at the Sundance Film Festival in 2016 and later also in Cannes by Hamilton and his film family , Hamilton received the role of Rellian, the film's son of Viggo Mortensen . Hamilton got this role after a worldwide casting at the age of 14. For the role it was important that the young actors are physically fit and also have musical talent.

In the film The Dark Tower , which was released in German cinemas in February 2017, Hamilton plays the character Lucas Hanson. In September 2017, a remake of the Stephen King novel Es came to cinemas, starring Bill Skarsgård as the evil clown Pennywise , in which Hamilton plays the hooligan Henry Bowers.
