Former town hall ( Mairie ) of Montaimont

Montaimont is a commune Déléguée with 130 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the town of Saint François Longchamp in the department of Savoie in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belonged to the arrondissement of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne and the canton of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne (until 2015: canton of La Chambre ). The inhabitants are called Taimonins .

With effect from January 1, 2017, the former municipalities of Montaimont and Montgellafrey were merged with Saint-François-Longchamp, creating a commune nouvelle of the same name, which, however, is written without hyphens for better differentiation.
