Nick Beams
Nick Beams (* 1948 ) is an Australian journalist and politician. He was chairman of the Socialist Equality Party (SEP) of Australia from 1985 to 2015 .
Beams was born in the UK and raised in Tasmania . In 1972 he was a founding member of the Socialist Labor League (SLL), which later became the SEP.
Nick Beams is considered a leading authority on Marxist political economy . He has published numerous papers on the importance of globalization for the international working class and lectures on it worldwide.
Beams is a member of the international editorial team of the World Socialist Web Site . He lives in Sydney and has two grown children.
