Nicola Michetti

Nicola Michetti (* around 1680 in Rome ; † 1758/59 ) was an Italian architect who worked in Italy and Saint Petersburg .

He was a student of Carlo Fontana . 1717-23 he worked at the Church of San Pietro in Zagarolo . He then built the Constantine Palace and the Baroque palace in Kadriorg (Catherinenthal) for Tsar Peter the Great . He also designed the fountains at Peterhof . Back in Rome he designed the western front of the Palazzo Colonna in 1731/1732 .
