Nicolas Chorier

Nicolas Chorier (born September 1, 1612 in Vienne , † August 14, 1692 in Grenoble ) was a French lawyer and writer.

Chorier was the city advocate of Grenoble. As an author, he borrowed, among other things, the name of the Dutch classical philologist and historian Johannes Meursius as a pseudonym.

Works

  • Aloisia Sigaea Toletana (French translation under the title: L'Académie des dames ; German translation: The conversations of Aloisia Sigaea ). There are seven dialogues between two women introducing the secrets of the marriage bed .
