Nicolas Perrin (* 1959 ) from Les Ponts-de-Martel, NE, Noiraigue, NE and Neuhausen am Rheinfall, SH, is a dipl. Civil engineer ETH and manager.

education and study

Nicolas Perrin attended the canton school in Schaffhausen from 1974 to 1979. He graduated with a type C Matura.

From 1979 to 1984 he studied at the ETH Zurich, Dept. II for civil engineering - specializing in planning and traffic as well as basic road and railway construction. In 1984 he successfully completed his studies.

Professional background

Nicolas Perrin has been working for the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) since 1987 .

From 1991 he worked as a department secretary for the President of the General Management.

From 1993 to 2001 he was deputy to the Rail 2000 delegate for five years.

In 1999 he became head of production and deputy head of the SBB Cargo division. From 2007 he was head of the international division and deputy head of the division. In the summer of 2007, Nicolas Perrin took over the management of SBB Cargo on an interim basis after Daniel Nordmann had resigned . In December 2007, the SBB Board of Directors elected him to head SBB Cargo AG. From January 1, 2008 to February 29, 2020, he was CEO SBB Cargo AG Olten and a member of the SBB AG Group Management, Bern. Since then, Perrin has been a member of the SBB Cargo Board of Directors.

At its meeting on October 23, 2019, the Federal Council appointed Nicolas Perrin as Chairman of the Board of Directors of RUAG Subholding MRO Switzerland.

Life

Nicolas Perrin is married and lives in Lucerne.

He was a captain in the engineering troops - pontoniers.
