Nicolas Sansu

Nicolas Sansu (born June 17, 1968 in Vierzon ) is a French politician . He has been a member of the National Assembly since 2012 .

Sansu, a member of the Parti communiste français , began his political career in 2001 when he entered the city council of Vierzon. In 2004 he moved to the General Council of the Cher département . In 2008 he was elected mayor of Vierzon. In the 2012 parliamentary elections , he ran in the second constituency of the Cher department. In the first round he reached 28.9% and moved into the second round as first place in front of the candidate of the Parti socialiste . Because they announced their withdrawal, he was the only candidate in the second ballot. Therefore, with a turnout of 33.6% and around a third of invalid votes, he was elected with a result of 100% and entered the National Assembly.
