Nicolaus Eggers

Nicolaus Eggers (born April 25, 1689 , † August 13, 1758 ) was a German Lutheran theologian and general superintendent of the General Diocese of Grubenhagen and on the Harz .

Life

Born in Hamburg as the son of the businessman and councilor Eggers, Nicolaus Eggers was the travel preacher of Duke Ludwig Rudolf von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel and court preacher to the Swedish Minister of State, Count von Welling. In 1722 he became pastor in Selsingen , in 1730 superintendent in Ebstorf , in 1744 first pastor and superintendent in Clausthal and general superintendent von Grubenhagen.
