Lower Bavarian division from 1331

The division of Lower Bavaria in 1331 was the division of the Wittelsbach sub- duchy of Lower Bavaria under the grandchildren of Duke Heinrich XIII. It is one of the numerous divisions in the Duchy of Bavaria up to the Primogeniture Act of 1506. It ended in 1340.

Heinrich XIV and Heinrich XV ruled as early as 1332. together again. Heinrich XV died in 1333. In 1334 Heinrich XIV, who was in conflict with his cousin Emperor Ludwig the Bavarian, acquired Bavaria-Burghausen after the death of Otto IV. Shortly after his reconciliation with Ludwig the Bavarian, Heinrich succumbed to leprosy in 1339 . His successor in Lower Bavaria was his son with Margarete von Luxemburg (1313–1341), Johann the child . As early as 1340, after the death of Johann, all of Lower Bavaria fell to Emperor Ludwig of Bavaria.
