Lower Saxony Prize for Civic Engagement
The Lower Saxony prize for civic engagement is the state of Lower Saxony in cooperation with the VGH Versicherungen and the Lower Saxony Savings ausgelobter competition . Which is awarded civic engagement both by individuals and by groups whose voluntary and voluntary acts of community involvement. This includes the areas of culture, sport, church / religious communities, the environment or social issues.
Ten prizes with a total value of 30,000 euros as well as an annually changing special prize endowed with 3,000 euros are awarded in the aforementioned areas.
Initiatives can be proposed since 2004. The award ceremony usually takes place in the Lower Saxony state capital Hanover .
