Savings Bank Association of Lower Saxony
The Savings Banks Association of Lower Saxony (SVN) is the umbrella organization of the savings banks in Lower Saxony . The public corporation with its seat in Hanover is one of twelve regional savings bank and giro associations in Germany. This was founded on October 7, 1887. 39 municipal savings banks, their municipal owners and the Braunschweigische Landessparkasse are united in the Lower Saxony savings bank association. The top association is the German Savings Banks and Giro Association. V. ( DSGV ) based in Berlin .

Organs of the savings bank association are the association chairman, the association assembly and the association board.
The head of the association represents the association externally. The head of the association has been Thomas Mang since February 1st, 2003. The deputy head of the association is the Göttingen district administrator, Bernhard Reuter, and the association manager, Guido Mönnecke.
The association's board of directors is headed by the Göttingen district administrator Bernhard Reuter. The main task of the SVN is to strengthen the savings bank system in Lower Saxony. He is available to advise and support the savings banks. Founded in 1985 by the Lower Saxony savings banks and the Norddeutsche Landesbank (NORD / LB), the Lower Saxony Savings Bank Foundation promotes culture in the state. This includes the fine arts, music, museums and monument preservation.
The Lower Saxony Savings Bank Academy
The Sparkassenakademie Niedersachsen is an institution of the Sparkassenverband Niedersachsen (SVN). In 1920 it was founded by Paul Rocke as the "Deutsche Sparkassenschule Hannover" .
