Savings Bank Association Berlin
The Sparkassenverband Berlin is the umbrella organization of the Berliner Sparkasse and its parent company, the Landesbank Berlin . The Berlin Savings Banks Association is a member of the German Savings Banks and Giro Association (DSGV).
Legal basis
The Berlin Savings Banks Association is legally based on Section 3 (5) of the Act on the Berliner Sparkasse and the conversion of Landesbank Berlin -Girozentrale- into a stock corporation (Berliner Sparkassengesetz - SpkG) of June 28, 2005.
The Berlin Savings Banks Association can issue rules of procedure to regulate its affairs, which require the approval of the Senate Administration responsible for the credit system (§ 3 Berliner SpkG).
