Wilhelm Klussmann

Wilhelm Klußmann (born January 28, 1863 in Osnabrück , † April 17, 1941 Osnabrück) was a German administrative lawyer and municipal official in Prussia .

Life

Born in the Kingdom of Hanover as the son of a high court attorney, Klußmann attended the Ratsgymnasium Osnabrück . After high school he studied from 1881 jurisprudence at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn , the Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Berlin and the Georg-August University of Goettingen . He served as a one-year volunteer with the 2nd Hanoverian Uhlan Regiment No. 14 of the Prussian Army and became a lieutenant in the reserve.

He was a court trainee from 1884 to 1889. Since 1898 a court assessor , in 1890 he became mayor and lawyer in Melle . From 1891 to 1894 he was a senator and police director in his hometown. From 1895 to 1899 he was an alderman for the city of Cologne . He was Lord Mayor of Geestemünde for over 18 years, from 1899 to 1917 . From 1901 (as successor to Hermann Bleßmann ) until September 1, 1919, he was a member of the provincial parliament of the province of Hanover . From 1908 to 1913 he represented the constituency of Stade 4 (Lehe-Geestemünde) and the NLP in the Prussian House of Representatives . For Geestemünde he “bought” the town charter. The road to Geestemünder Bahnhof was named after him while he was still in office .

As successor to Hans Eyl , he was chairman of the Hanover savings bank association from 1913 to September 4, 1933 . Arthur crowd followed him .
