Kurt Jerschke

Kurt Jerschke (born June 30, 1872 in Lähn , district of Löwenberg , province of Silesia , † October 17, 1948 in Königstein im Taunus ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Kurt Jerschke, son of a building contractor, studied law at the Kaiser Wilhelms University of Strasbourg . In 1891 he became active in the Corps Palatia Strasbourg . After completing his studies and doctorate as Dr. jur. he first became a court assessor. He then went into the administrative service of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine . In 1899 he Regierungsassessor and 1907 Governing Council . In 1908 he became a consultant at the Ministry of the Interior in Strasbourg . From 1913 to 1918 he was district director of the Hagenau district . At the end of 1918 he was accepted into the Prussian administrative service. From 1919 to 1932 he was district administrator for the Glogau district . In November 1932 he became vice-president of the administrative district of Kassel . Although he was not a member of the NSDAP, he became Vice President of the Upper Presidium of Hessen-Nassau in June 1933 . He retired in 1937. Only after retiring did he join the NSDAP; because, according to his own statements, he feared disadvantages from which he was protected by civil service law during his service. From late 1937 to September 1938 he was acting head of the Lower Saxony Savings Banks and Giro Association in Hanover. During World War II he was official receiver of that are available in foreign ownership Maschinenfabrik AG Turner and Boston Blacking Company GmbH. Most recently he lived in Königstein im Taunus , where he died of esophageal cancer in 1948 .
