In April 1885 the savings banks in Freiburg / Elbe and Assel were transferred to the new Kehdingen district as a joint guarantor and were now called the district savings banks. The savings banks in Harsefeld and Himmelpforten, on the other hand, were not transferred to the new Stade district, but were reserved for the communities that were responsible for them. On July 1, 1920, the Sparkasse Horneburg came into being through the transformation of a cooperative credit institute founded in 1896 .

On January 1, 1932, the savings bank of the district of Kehdingen zu Assel was merged with the sister institute in Freiburg and became its main branch. In April 1934, the savings banks in Harsefeld, Himmelpforten and Horneburg were transferred to the Freiburger Sparkasse, whose guarantor since October 1932 is the new district of Stade, which was then created from the old districts of Stade, Jork and Kehdingen. The All the Best Foundation

The "Alles Gute-Stiftung" was founded in 1993. It promotes the areas of art, culture, nature and environmental protection, youth and social affairs in the Stade district. The capital currently amounts to around 2.73 million euros. The board of directors and / or the board of trustees decide on the use of funds. The Citizens Foundation

The Citizens Foundation was established in 1998. The donors can influence the use of the proceeds. Since the foundation was established, more than 640 institutions have received around 489,000 euros in funding. Private individuals have the option of setting up their “own”, dependent foundation under the umbrella of the Citizens Foundation with an amount of 50,000 euros or more. The name and purpose of the funds can be determined by the founders. There are currently five such sub-foundations: the Tierhilfe Foundation, the MYRIAM C. GRASS Foundation and the Diercks-Diekhof Foundation, as well as the Rosa and Günter Bischoff Foundation and the BÖRNE Foundation.
