Michael Roesberg

Michael Roesberg (born June 26, 1957 in Bonn ) is a German civil servant and politician ( non-party ). Since 2006 he has been district administrator of the district Stade .

After graduating from Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Gymnasium Bonn in 1976 and then completing compulsory military service, Roesberg studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms- Universität Bonn and passed his second state examination in law after completing his legal clerkship . From 1987 to 1992 he was a civil servant in the Harburg district. In 1992 Roesberg won the vote to become an electoral officer in the Stade district. He became head of the school and social affairs department. From 1999 to October 2006 Roesberg was the first district councilor of the district of Stade. He was responsible for finance, human resources, schools and public transportation. In the local elections in 2006, the non-party Roesberg ran for theCDU as district administrator. He prevailed against the candidates of the SPD and the Greens in the first ballot . In 2014 he was re-elected. His current term ends in November 2021 and will not run again.

Roesberg is married and has three children.
