Niederwasser (Hornberg)

The Niederwasser district of the town of Hornberg in the Ortenaukreis is a scattered settlement in the south of the town. On December 1, 1971, the place was incorporated. It used to belong to the Breisgau district of Upper Austria and fell to the Grand Duchy of Baden in 1805 in the Peace of Pressburg . With the community reform he lost his independence and became a district of Hornberg.

The former municipal coat of arms shows a green deciduous tree with a black trunk on the division in a divided shield above in silver, below in green a raised blue wave shield base, in it two silver fish swimming to the left on top of each other.
