Niels Haarbye (born May 4, 1953 ) is a former Danish football player .

Career

Haarbye played for Vanløse IF until 1977 . In 1977 he moved to B 1903 Copenhagen . With B 1903 he won the Danish Cup in 1979. In the final against Køge BK , he came on in the 65th minute for Finn Schmidt-Jensen .

For the 1980/81 season he moved to the Austrian first division SV Austria Salzburg . He made his first division debut in August 1980 when he was in the starting line-up against SK VOEST Linz on the first day of that season . In total, Haarbye completed eleven games in the top Austrian division, in which he remained without a hit.

In 1981 he returned to Denmark to B 1903. He then played for Køge BK before ending his career.
