Niels Pfläging (born September 9, 1971 in Hanover , Germany) is a German economist , management consultant and author of business books.

Life

Pfläging studied economics in Hanover and Seville between 1991 and 1998 . He completed his studies with a degree in economics .

From 2003 to 2008 Pfläging was director of the think tank Beyond Budgeting Round Table (BBRT). He joined the BBRT management team in 2003 as the sixth director. In the same year he published a German-language textbook on the Beyond Budgeting model.

Pflaging's second book on Beyond Budgeting , Leadership with Flexible Goals , was awarded the 2006 Business Book Prize in the "Leadership" category by Financial Times Deutschland and getAbstract .
