history

The goldsmith Hermann Niessing founded a workshop for devotional objects in Vreden in 1873 . In addition to church jewelry and devices, the first product range also included wedding rings. In the years 1974 to around 1980 Ulla Exner, b. Niessing, her husband Fritz and their son Jochen laid the foundations for a new corporate strategy and started building the jewelry brand. In October 2008 the company Gebr. Niessing GmbH & Co. had to file for insolvency due to a financial crisis. On May 1st, 2009 the new Niessing Manufaktur GmbH & Co.
