Nightfall is a Greek melodic death metal band that existed from 1991 to 2006 and since 2010 . During their creative period, the band produced a total of seven studio albums, four EPs / singles and a demo cassette. In the early years their music was more likely to be attributed to Gothic Metal , but over the years it developed into Melodic Death Metal.

history

Nightfall was founded in 1991 by Efthimis Karadimas. In the same year the demo Vanity was recorded and released. In 1992 the debut album Parade into Centuries was released on the French label Holy Records, making Nightfall the first Greek band to release an album on a foreign label. In 2005 drummer George Kollias left Nightfall and joined the American technical death metal band Nile . In August 2001, Nightfall was the first Greek band to perform at the metal festival Wacken Open Air in Germany.
