Nikki Sinclaire

Nicole Nikki Sinclaire (born July 26, 1968 in London ) is a British politician and member of the European Parliament from 2009 to 2014 . Until 2010 she was a member of the UK Independence Party (UKIP).

Life

After finishing school, Sinclaire became involved in politics. Sinclaire was elected to the European Parliament in the 2009 European elections , where she initially belonged to the EU-skeptical group, Europe of Freedom and Democracy . Due to conflicts with the parliamentary group leader Nigel Farage , she left the group on January 18, 2010. Then she was expelled from the UKIP party on March 4. On September 13, 2012, Sinclaire founded the We Demand a Referendum Party , with which she ran for the 2014 European elections, but was not elected, just like her fellow party members who were also standing.
