Nikola Jovović (born February 13, 1992 in Novi Sad ) is a Serbian volleyball player .
Career
Jovović began his volleyball career in a school team in 2002. In his hometown he played for OK Vojvodina Novi Sad. At the youth and junior tournaments he developed into one of the most successful young players in his country. In 2009 he became Vice European Champion and World Champion. A year later he reached third place in the Junior European Championship. Most recently he won bronze again at the 2011 World Cup. Because of his success, he is considered to be the successor of Olympic champion Nikola Grbić in his home country . He also won the Serbian Cup in 2010 with his club. In 2011, the German champions VfB Friedrichshafen signed him as a second setter. In 2012 and 2014 Jovović won the DVV Cup here .
